Brandon's First Easter Egg Hunt

Our church organized an Easter Egg hunt for all kids up to age 11. They split them all up by age, so the 1-3 year olds were able to hunt their own eggs. Brandon was in his own little section of the lawn and didn't have to fend off any 3 year olds for his eggs :) He did so well and collected 5 eggs! Watching him walk around with his Lightening McQueen Easter basket and baseball hat on, made me realize how fast my son is growing up....a year ago we were so happy he rolled over! Now look at him:

Mom, I'm ready for this.

Waiving to his competition...

...and he's already distracted :)

Excited about his first egg!

Eating his winnings!

It was so fun watching Brandon do this....and he loved watching the older kids run around. It was definitely a bitter sweet moment, realizing how big our baby is getting!

We love you B.

Holy Moly Guacamole

For the past 3 weeks, I have been teaching Kindergarten for a teacher who is out on maternity leave. My experience has been less than stellar, mostly due to the fact of where I am teaching, but also because I am away from my child all day every day (which I am not used to).....and I'm only half way done. Although I am learning TONS from this experience and not every single day is horrible, most days I am ready to punch someone in the face. If I had to describe my last 3 weeks in a word, it would be INSANITY.  I have to keep reminding myself that I am probably one of the only positive influences in most of these kids' days....and that is rewarding in itself.

For once I have all my lesson plans complete, along with a sleeping child, and an excessively large bowl of cereal in front of me...so I decided it would be a perfect time to update the 'ol blog a little.

Brandon has officially started walking like a champ! He started about 2 weeks ago and hasn't stopped. It's a whole new world up there and he's taking total advantage! His new favorite things to do are climb up onto every chair, couch and stool he finds, turn the light switches off and on and turning the dryer on (he thinks he's pretty cool).

Here are a few of the millions of pictures taken in the last month:

Eating his 87th girl scout cookie with mom.

Playing with everything except his toys.

Painting!

Crazy kid....
The aftermath of painting...bath time!

Brandon's new  tent-thanks Aunt Lisa!!!

Changing channels on mom and dad's TV.

2nd haircut!

Parents of the year....

Party time :)

Love for Elmo and Mickey

Loungin' with mom on a Saturday morning watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Green bath water for St. Patrick's Day!

The few odd ways our son wakes up from his naps-shirt below the waist....

...shirt over the head.

On the plus side of everything, there are so many new and exciting things to look forward to! New nieces (???) and nephews, trips, family adventures....so much to be thankful for :) And pray for me that the next 3 weeks go by quickly and without anymore incidents!
