Brandon's First Time "Swimming"!!

Brandon went on his first pool adventure in Florida last week! His head was a little too big for his swim shirt but we managed to some how shimmy it on him, even though he was not too happy about it :) But a sunburnt baby makes for not a fun time for anybody!

When we got to the pool, B looked a little weary of his surroundings. I took him into the pool with me and he was OK with just his feet in, but when I started to put a little more of his body in, he wasn't very thrilled with it. So we just sat at the edge of the pool and put our feet in :)

Getting some practice in his new floating toy.

I'm not too sure about this mom....

I kinda like putting my feet in the nice cool water!

:)

Get me out of this freezing cold water!

Needed a little snack.

This was such a fun, relaxing amazing first time experience :) I want to go back!!

Four Whole Months!

Brandon turned 4 months old the day we left for Florida. As I ALWAYS say, I can't believe how fast the time is going! He is getting so big and has started giggling, is always babbling and is always trying to grab my fork to put food in his mouth! I miss my newborn baby boy but I just love the little person he is starting to become!

Brandon's First Flight

Here is my first of many posts :) When we first started talking about it being a POSSIBILITY of going to FL, I immediately was terrified of flying with B. What if his ears hurt him the whole time? What if he's in pain for hours and he cries the whole time? I couldn't live with that!!

I did TONS of research online about flying with infants. I read about giving them bottles during take off and landing, buying them their own seat for comfort, leaving them in their car seat, putting them in their moby wraps or other carriers so they feel safe and close to you. It was all so overwhelming it made me even MORE paranoid. So I packed 7 bottles, some juice, a few toys, had him sit in our laps and just prayed that everything would go ok.

All in all B did great!! He fussed a couple of times only because he was overly tired. Other than that everything went smoothly!! In total, round trip, we were on 4 flights and on every single flight, someone commented to us on how good he did. We were proud :)

Haha...

He got his first set of wings too for his first flight! Such a big boy :)

Brandon's First Big Trip! February 18-25

Last night we got back from a week long trip to Florida with B, Grandma Marcia and Auntie Amy. We had SOOO MUCH FUN! I'm going to have to split our trip into a few different posts because I of course took a million+ picutures :)

Brandon had quite a few firsts during this trip! He wore short, flip flops and sunglasses all for the first time, he flew in an airplane (he did very well by the way), he went to Disney World (where he got his first Mickey Ears) and he went swimming! So much fun for mommy and daddy (mommy was WAY stressed about the flying part though) to have all of these first time experiences!

I will start posting some of my pictures soon! I can't wait to share them with everyone!

Loungin' Baby...!

On the mornig of Superbowl Sunday we were a preetty lazy family. Brandon woke up at 7 (which is about normal) and we just layed in bed all morning watching Elmo and cartoons. I set B up with a little lounging spot in our bed and we just hung out!

Nice realxing morning!

Elmo

The first "obsession" of Brandon's is Elmo. One day, I was on YouTube trying to find some videos or cartoons for B that would sing about numbers or the alphabet. I found a Sesame Street channel there of course is a ton of Elmo videos. We have Elmo singing about numbers with ducks, he raps the alphabet and he even sings to a butterfly. Brandon LOVES it. Sometimes he'll just sit there at watch it, completely engrossed. Recently he started smiling at it. And when it's all over, he starts to fuss. We can't tell if it's Elmo's red color, his voice or a mixture of it all. But I've tried having him watch snips of The Lion King or Jungle Book and he isn't interested. It's all Elmo... :)

Even when he can only hear Elmo he smiles.

I suppose Sesame Street will be a big thing in our house in the near future!

Update On Mr. B

I've said it a million times and I'll say it again, I can't believe hoe fast time has gone and how quickly Brandon has grown! It seriously seems like yesterday that we brought home our little 7lb baby boy! Now 3 1/2 months later he weighs 13.5lbs and is 25 3/4 in long! Such a big boy :) Dr. Simmons says he can start eating rice cereal (which mommy has a hard time wrapping her head around that fact!) and in about 2 weeks can start eating orange veggies for breakfast! Our baby is growin up!

B has been doing some new things in the past month!
-He now has discovered that instead of sucking on his fist, he can open up is hand and suck on his fingers. But he still doesn't understand that he can move them.
-He sleeps through the night about 3-4 nights a week!
-He likes to sit on mommy and daddys lap during dinner and eat with the adults :)
-When he eats with us, he stares at our food and grabs it off our plates but again doesn't realize he can make his hands move.
-He is quite the smiler...a little flirt already! Those dimples get ya every time!
-He jibber jabber baby talks ALL THE TIME. I love it so much and we have quite the conversation. He and daddy catch up on their day after dinner :)
-He LOVES to stand (supported). He stands on our laps, the table, or counter. Anywhere he can get a firm grip with his toes! Such strong legs!
-He is eating 4-5 oz every feeding and still eats about 2-3 hours. He eats like his momma!
-He is in the awkward stage of fitting in between 3 month clothes and 6 month clothes. But he has outgrown his 3 month pj's! He is in 6 month pj's now! He's so long!

The one thing he hasn't outgrown is not smiling for the camera. Still, everytime it comes out he just stares at it and won't do anything. He does the same thing to my phone. Smart little bugger :)

Here are a few recent pictures from this past week:

Hangin' out at great G&G's after puking all over his outfit.

He is definitely starting to get a little personality! He is impatient like his mom but is totally chill and laid back like his dad. One second he'll be screaming for food then the next he's laying on the floor watching TV. Love him!!
