June 20th

This is a special day in our family. It is the day that Mitch and I were married in 2008. A day that I have dreamed about for YEARS. Anyone who knows me well knows that I have called Mitch my FH (future husband) since I was in high school. I've been in love with him since 9th grade when I first saw him at a church carnival in the basement of the Cathedral. From that point on I used to dress EXTRA cute when we would go to church in case he was there :) But I didn't speak one word to him until my 3rd year of college. I was too scared! To make a VERY long story short, we started dating in 2005 and haven't looked back! Our story has been a joke amongst our family with how rediculous it is and it will be told for generations :) Haha!

The other reason why this date is so special to us is because on June 20, 2011 we got to hear the words "That's a boy!" I was a total spaz when it came time for us to find out if we were having a boy or a girl. I couldn't wait another minute! When we went into the room for the ultrasound my heart was pounding a thousand beats a second. I was so excited yet so nervous! When the tech put the wand on my belly this was literally the first thing we saw:

I knew instantly. She said "Can you tell what you're having?" I said "That's totally a boy!" I immediately started crying because I was so excited and so happy!! Then the second thought that went through my head and stayed there the rest of the time was "There's going to be alot of baseball in our future...."

After that appointemnt I was on cloud 9. I had never been happier in my whole entire life! I knew once I saw this face, that my whole life had a different meaning and I didn't think I could love anything so much.

So between these 2 amazing events in my life, June 20 is by far my favorite day of the year :) Except for Christmas of course!

8 Whole Months!

Brandon is growing like a little weed! He now "crawls" everywhere, and by crawl I mean Army Crawl. He eats between 2-3 jars of baby food a day, he can pick up a Cheerie-O with his index finger and thumb and put it in his mouth and he now understands object permanence! His new favorite toy is the remote for the TV so when I try to hide it from him, Little Smarty goes for the spot where I put it. It's so fun to see all of this new stuff sink :)

Brandon spent the morning of his 8 month "birthaversary" as Aunt Madison calls it, digging into his bath toys and playing with them all over the bathroom floor. I literally turned my back for a second and he had all of his bath toys and wash cloths thrown all over the floor. Nothing is safe anymore!

Just going to crawl into your lap if you don't mind.

God I'm cute....

Crawling away from Mom!

He makes my hear happy :)

Catching Up 2

I forgot to post these pictures of Brandon and his friend Ellie on my Catching Up post. We all met at the park and this was the first time they met. Brandon loved to look at her and immediately put his arm around her. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. It's like he knew he  needed to be nice to her :)

Pretty smooth mover I'd say. I think she liked it a little too :)

Hiking!

Last weekend when it was H.O.T we really wanted to take Brandon on his first hike. That was the weekend of the Volks March up to Crazy Horse. We were torn about doing that with B but ultimately decided against it for a few reasons. A. Hot. B. We weren't sure how well Brandon would do on such a long hike. C. We don't have the best carrier to do a long hike like that. That's going to be our next purchace. Someday.

So opting out of Crazy Horse, we decided to try Buzzard's Roost about 4 miles outside Rapid. Neither one of us had done this before so it was going to be a surprise for everyone. I quickly found out how completely out of shape I have become since I had a baby. Turns out that running on the elliptical for 20 min every few days doesn't get you in the best of shape to climb a mountain.

So as I am sweating like a horse 2 minutes into our 45 min hike up the mountain, my son is squeeling and laughing. Loving every second of it. It made it so much easier to just put on my big girl panties, suck it up and finish the rest of our hike together.

Let's do this!

Haha...he's so excited! Look at his legs kicking straight out!

Gorgeous

We all took naps when we got home :) A hot, fun, tiring day!

Catching Up

I've been way behind on posting this past month. So much has been going on! We've had Aunties and Uncles come and visit from Denver and Phoenix, Grandpa came to visit from Denver too. Brandon attended his first high school graduation for STM, and with it being so nice outside we've been spending alot of our time out doors! Plus he has been very sweet on a few of the girl babies in town :)

Here are some of the MANY pictures from all of our fun the past few weeks!

I love my new toy from Aunie Madison and Uncle Kyle!!

It's been 3 months but I remember this face....
