Another First for B-Man

In our house, I always have the job of going outside to get the mail. Our mailbox is one of those shared big metal boxes where everyone has their own tiny box. I have to walk about 3 or 4 houses down to the mail box, so in the winter, I have to bundle up.

I decided to take Brandon with me to the mail box the other day and it was pretty cold outside. I wanted to take a picture of the moment for a couple of reasons. It was his first time to the mailbox, it waas his first time outside not in his car seat carrier and he just looked so cute all bundled up to go outside! Here is the happy, memorable moment I captured:

Doesn't he just look slap you in the face, kick you in the crotch happy?

Needless to say, once we went outside he stopped crying and just looked around at everything. It turned out to be not so traumatic :)

Preparing for Brandon's First Christmas!

As everyone always says this time of year, "I can't believe it's Christmas time already!" Well it's true. Time has flown by in the past 9 weeks since Brandon has been born. There has been so many fun thing going on and now we get to anticipate B's first Christmas!! I know he won't remember it but I still want to make it as special as I can so he can look back on it.

He has so many cute Christmas outfits to wear! This is seriously just the tip of the iceburg here. He has Christmas jammies, Chritsmas outfits with Santa on the butt, and shirts with raindeer on them. He of course looks damn cute in all of them :)

We got him a stocking (the snowman one) that hangs downstairs. Santa doesn't know what to bring a newborn at our house so maybe next year something will be left in the stocking :) As you can see, the fur child Oakley has a stocking too!

I even made the HORRID trip down the the crawl space to get out the Christmas tree for Brandon's first Christmas. I hate going to down there more than anything. I would rather buy a new Christmas tree every year than go down there to get it. Seeing the smile on his face when he looks at it makes the trip down there MORE than worth it!

I am excited for him to understand Christmas some day but this is just as exciting for Mitch and I. We can't wait for more memories of the Christmases to come.

We love you Brandon! Merry Christmas baby boy.

Two Whole Months!

Two months ago tonight we finally got to meet our little "Bean". Time has flown by so fast!! We finally are all getting used to each other and sleep is getting better (knock on wood!). Two months ago, we were up every two hours or so feeding him. Now, on a "normal" night, he wakes up only once to eat. It's funny how soon you realize how little sleep you can actually live off of! A year ago I would die if I slept from midnight to 6 am. Now, that is heaven! Our little Brandon is the light of our lives. We love him more than we could have even imagine. He is the best little boy in the entire world! Seriously. Just ask anyone :)

We really do have the cutest baby ever....!
