Loungin' Baby...!

On the mornig of Superbowl Sunday we were a preetty lazy family. Brandon woke up at 7 (which is about normal) and we just layed in bed all morning watching Elmo and cartoons. I set B up with a little lounging spot in our bed and we just hung out!

Nice realxing morning!

Elmo

The first "obsession" of Brandon's is Elmo. One day, I was on YouTube trying to find some videos or cartoons for B that would sing about numbers or the alphabet. I found a Sesame Street channel there of course is a ton of Elmo videos. We have Elmo singing about numbers with ducks, he raps the alphabet and he even sings to a butterfly. Brandon LOVES it. Sometimes he'll just sit there at watch it, completely engrossed. Recently he started smiling at it. And when it's all over, he starts to fuss. We can't tell if it's Elmo's red color, his voice or a mixture of it all. But I've tried having him watch snips of The Lion King or Jungle Book and he isn't interested. It's all Elmo... :)

Even when he can only hear Elmo he smiles.

I suppose Sesame Street will be a big thing in our house in the near future!

Update On Mr. B

I've said it a million times and I'll say it again, I can't believe hoe fast time has gone and how quickly Brandon has grown! It seriously seems like yesterday that we brought home our little 7lb baby boy! Now 3 1/2 months later he weighs 13.5lbs and is 25 3/4 in long! Such a big boy :) Dr. Simmons says he can start eating rice cereal (which mommy has a hard time wrapping her head around that fact!) and in about 2 weeks can start eating orange veggies for breakfast! Our baby is growin up!

B has been doing some new things in the past month!
-He now has discovered that instead of sucking on his fist, he can open up is hand and suck on his fingers. But he still doesn't understand that he can move them.
-He sleeps through the night about 3-4 nights a week!
-He likes to sit on mommy and daddys lap during dinner and eat with the adults :)
-When he eats with us, he stares at our food and grabs it off our plates but again doesn't realize he can make his hands move.
-He is quite the smiler...a little flirt already! Those dimples get ya every time!
-He jibber jabber baby talks ALL THE TIME. I love it so much and we have quite the conversation. He and daddy catch up on their day after dinner :)
-He LOVES to stand (supported). He stands on our laps, the table, or counter. Anywhere he can get a firm grip with his toes! Such strong legs!
-He is eating 4-5 oz every feeding and still eats about 2-3 hours. He eats like his momma!
-He is in the awkward stage of fitting in between 3 month clothes and 6 month clothes. But he has outgrown his 3 month pj's! He is in 6 month pj's now! He's so long!

The one thing he hasn't outgrown is not smiling for the camera. Still, everytime it comes out he just stares at it and won't do anything. He does the same thing to my phone. Smart little bugger :)

Here are a few recent pictures from this past week:

Hangin' out at great G&G's after puking all over his outfit.

He is definitely starting to get a little personality! He is impatient like his mom but is totally chill and laid back like his dad. One second he'll be screaming for food then the next he's laying on the floor watching TV. Love him!!

I Love My Baby!

It's totally cliche` to say that you love your child more than anything in the world. Well I'm here to say that it's completely 100% true. I always read or heard people say that and I would think "Aww that's nice..." but I obviously never really understood it until Brandon was born. I remember when I was pregnant if I saw I was going to walk past someone who was smoking I immediately covered my mouth and nose so I wouldn't breathe it in. I did the same thing if I was driving behind a smelly car. You quickly realize that you would do anything and everything to protect this little person.

It is so amazing to just stare at our baby and just think "Wow...this is our son." Just looking at him I just feel so much love and happiness I never thought was possible. I thought I felt whole with Mitch. Now I know that I feel 100% complete with BOTH of them :)

How is it possible NOT to have any kind of love for this little baby?

Mitch's cousin Nicole knitted him this hat and sent it to us :)

He really is a perfect baby....just ask anyone!

Mr. Broccoli

I know the post title is a little strange. But its true, Brandon has adopted Mr. Broccoli as one of his newest toys. Auntie Amy bought Mr. Broccoli for B from IKEA in Denver when we were there a few weeks ago. B might appreciate him a little more when he gets older because Mr. Broccoli is a little big :)

Haha....!

The camera flash gets him everytime!

:)

As you can see, the stuffed broccoli is a bit of a camera hog :) The pups think its their new toy, so it is hard to get across that Mr. Broccoli belongs to Brandon. There could be a fight someday :)

Three Whole Months!

I can't believe our baby boy is already three months!! Here are a few (or alot!) of pictures of our growing boy:

Auntie Amy bought B Mr. Carrot at IKEA

All decked out! :)

At the CH with great grandpa Schnaser

It's hard taking pictures of him smiling anymore. Everytime you get out the camera, he stops smiling and just stares at the camera like "What the heck is that thing??" It's rare you get a smile but every once in a while you get one :)

He is growing so fast! We love him more and more each day.

Brandon's First Trip to Denver!

On the three day weekend (MLK Day), my mom, Mitch, Brandon and I all made Brandon's first road trip down to Denver for his first time! It was a nice relaxing trip, we're saving the more exciting stuff for when he is older :) We went shopping at 16th street mall, ate at some amazing resturants and made his first trip to IKEA!

Enjoying IKEA for the first time

Meeting Rachel the cat!

Hi Tuli!

Sadty, I didn't get many pictures taken. I wasn't feeling the greatest and ended the trip with the flu :( Major disappointment. Mitch and my mom had to leave Brandon and I in Denver while I was dying. Amy got her first taste of temporary motherhood and she did great! We made the trip back to S.D. a few days later when I was better.

Minus the flu, Brandon's first trip to D-town was a sucess! I can't wait until he is older and we can go to the aquarium and the zoo :) Can't wait for our next trip!!
