B and Oakley have a special relationship. Oakley acts like and old man and doesn't really like loud noises (he was abused before we got him). So when Brandon is crying, fussing or screaming Oakley doesn't like to be around him. He goes on a total different floor of the house-far, far away. So it's kind of rare to see him come close to Brandon at this stage. But they really do love eachother :) They will be such good friends someday....!

Crafty Momma!
For those of you who do not know, I have recently become slightly obsessed with Pinterest, thanks to my sister. It is a website where people share ideas and everything they love. It's essentially just a big internet bookmark where you keep all of the stuff you like. Anyway, I found this blog that explained a way make cool letters for your child's room. I have been wanting to make some letters for Brandon's room for quite awhile now but didn't want them to be borning. But I found the perfect idea and it turned out great!
First I went to Hobbly Lobby and found the letters I wanted. Then I picked out some scrapbooking paper and grabbed some mode podge. It was super cheap and I was able to fit 3 letters on one sheet of paper :)
I traced the letters onto the paper and cut them out.
Then I just modge podged the paper onto the letters both on the back of the paper and onto the front once it was stuck on.
I went to Target and bought the 3M wall sticky strips and the worked perfectly! I am so happy with the way it all turned out!
Woo-hoo! I had so much fun making these. Someday when Brandon is older I'd like to make new letters with him and have him paint them himself!
I have quite a list of crafty ideas from Pinterest that I want to make for our house. I'll share them once I get them made :)

Brandon Rolled Over!
After hearing of all my friends' babies rolling over and me wondering if he would ever do it, B finally rolled over on 3.20.12!!I laid him on the floor and walked away for literally 3 seconds and when I turned around, he was on his belly! I instantly started crying because I was so happy but then I was sad because both Mitch and I missed it! I got him to roll over again on video (which he wasn't too happy about). Here it is:
My baby is growing up so fast!

5 Whole Months!
Last week I took Brandon with me to a doctor's appointment and one of the ladies in the waiting area asked me how old B was. I told her he was almost 5 months and her voice got about 2 octaves higher saying, "He's 5 months! He's so big! He looks like he should be 7-8 months! I have a granddaughter who is 7 months and she's way smaller than he is." Ugh....what do people expect you to say to stuff like that? Ok lady, my son is bigger than your granddaughter, wooptie fricken doo. So I just politely smiled and said nothing more to her.
Some people just simply have no tact. When you're pregnant or have a small child you become public property and everyone thinks they need to put their 2 cents in. No thank you.
ANYWAY....my tall, very handsome and perfect baby turned 5 months old on Sunday. I love him MORE each and every day. I tell him that at least 75 times a day if not more. Someday he'll get sick of hearing it but I'll never get sick of saying it :)

Rice Cereal=Success!
After the bad luck we had with baby food, I was hesitant to try rice cereal. I didn't want him to have the same tummy troubles and I was nervous he wouldn't digest it very well. But I didn't need to worry! He loved the cereal and his tummy had no trouble digesting it! That made us all very happy :)

First Baby Food...
At B's last appointment, his pediatrician gave us the go ahead to try baby food and rice cereal once he turned 4 months old. It wasn't so much a success...we gave him carrots and he was NOT a fan. I think I got more spit back out at me than he actually ate.

The next day I tried giving him sweet potatoes and those went down a little better. Even though he liked the sweet potatoes, his tummy did not. He had a bubbly tummy and he did not digest it well :( Poor guy! So we are going to wait until 6 months to try another round of baby food.
Soon, our next venture will be rice cereal! Hopefully that has a better outcome :)
