A Family Day in the Canyon

This past weekend, Mitch and I decided it was time we took Brandon to his first ride through Spearfish Canyon. We figured it would be the last weekend that we could do it before the leaves were gone and it got too cold. We went for a drive last year through the canyon with my dad and grandma about a month before she passed away. It was then that I decided I'd like to make this a family tradition for us and as Brandon gets older, we can find some trails and go hiking.

We started our family day by having lunch at the Stadium in Spearfish. That was a major hang out for us when we were in college up there. So many fun times had there. We watched the Vikings beat the Lions (YIPEE!) and Brandon had quite a bit of the attention of some of the older people in the resturant, which is not uncommon.

After lunch, we headed up the Canyon. Beautiful. I LOVE this time of year! It was so gorgeous, the weather was perfect and we even found a few strangers who took pitty on us and offered to take a picture of the 3 of us :) We found a few nice spots to take pictures and even though B got MAAAAD at us for taking him in and out of his car seat multiple times, we got some really nice shots!

WARNING: We took TONS of pictures so there will probably be an over abundance of photos.
